October 2: A Declaration of Favor for The Prayer Institute

Great Father, we thank You for giving Pastors Kirbyjon and Suzette Caldwell the vision for The Prayer Institute. Thank You for the awesome platform it has given to prayer, as it is such a vital discipline for every believer. Thank You for the wonderful board members, staff and diligent volunteers You have assembled together to maintain the operations of The Prayer Institute. O Lord, when we think of Your goodness and boundless kindness toward The Prayer Institute, we cannot help but to erupt in high praise! Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue as we proclaim Your greatness. Everyone will share the story of Your wonderful goodness and sing with joy about Your righteousness. We worship You, Father. We take joy in being in Your presence.

Strong and Mighty Father, we decree that You are the source of hope for The Prayer Institute. Favor surrounds The Prayer Institute like a shield. We declare abundant blessings and favor upon the staff. We also declare Your abundant blessings and favor upon the Board of The Prayer Institute. We command doors of unprecedented opportunities to open for The Prayer Institute. We decree that as they serve Your people, Lord, their good deeds will shine out for all to see, causing people everywhere to give You praise. In faith, we expect You to expand the influence and reach of The Prayer Institute.  We believe that the Holy Spirit will ignite more and more people to desire a richer and more powerful prayer life, as The Prayer Institute goes forth in ministry. We decree that every need will be met according to Your riches in glory.

Holy Spirit, I will pray the following for The Prayer Institute:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, we ask that You draw The Prayer Institute’s staff and board members closer together in the spiritual unity that is only found in Jesus Christ. Let the same mind be in them that was also in Him. Help them to spot problems and issues quickly and to be spiritually wise and discerning as they seek to solve them. Remind them to take good care of themselves and to not neglect their own spiritual, emotional, and physical care. Keep them balanced in their public and private lives so they are efficient and effective in all that they do. Draw the right people to invest their time, talent, and finances. Protect The Prayer Institute from any plans the enemy may have to hinder the good works that they do. We ask that You flood them with faithful benefactors who will give to the services they provide to the Body of Christ and to the community.

Redeeming Father, please forgive the Board members, staff and volunteers of any sins they have committed. Forgive those who have been neglecting themselves and their families and not taking time to rest. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind The Prayer Institute’s staff and board members of all those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show You names or faces of people that You may need to forgive. As He shows You, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in Your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help the Board members, staff and volunteers of The Prayer Institute to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Magnificent Lord, You are robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. You created all things and they exist because You created what You pleased. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

September 19: A Prayer for Our Family Members, Friends, Co-Workers, and Enemies Who are Backsliders or Unbelievers

Our Father, we thank You for Your tender mercies and unfailing love. Thank You for providing a way for sinners to be reconciled back to You. Thank You for enlightening our hearts to say “yes” to You when You called us. Thank You for extending Your mercy toward us every day. Lord, You are great and Your power is absolute. Your understanding is beyond comprehension.  We meditate on Your unfailing love as we worship in Your temple.  Your Name will be praised to the ends of the earth. We honor You, as our Lord and Savior.

Awesome Father, it is Your desire that all men be saved and that they come to the knowledge of the truth.  We confess that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life.  He is the only door by which people are saved.  We declare that when our unsaved family members, friends and enemies confess with their mouths, the Lord Jesus, and believe in their hearts that You raised Jesus from the dead, they will be saved.  Father, we declare that they will know the truth, and the truth will set them free.  As a Church Family, we gladly take the great commission and go into the world preaching the Good News to everyone You place in our paths.  We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ because we know that it is Your power, God, at work saving everyone who believes.  In Jesus’ Name, we will share the Good News at every opportunity that is presented to us.

Compassionate Father, we cry out to You to clear the way so that Your Gospel may be preached in every city, state, country, and continent. Since the harvest is plentiful, please send laborers to proclaim Your Word of salvation to the unsaved. We ask You to save our unsaved family members, friends, co-workers, and enemies.  Surround them with the counsel of the Godly so that they may be washed in the water of Your Word; putting away the old man and putting on the new.  Holy Spirit, as the Word goes forth, please touch the hearts of the unsaved to receive it. Help us, the Body of Christ, to present the Gospel with love, hope and patience.  Father, we ask You to remove the scales from the eyes and circumcise the hearts of those who are in a backslidden state. Like the prodigal child, help them to come to themselves and return to You, their first love.  Holy Spirit, remind them that nothing can ever separate them from God’s love; not death, life, angels, demons,  fears for today or worries about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separate them from the Father’s love.

List the people that you know who are unsaved or backslidden.  Ask the Holy Spirit for the wisdom to witness to these people.  Trust Him to give you the courage to approach them and the words to say to them.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Everlasting Father, forgive the unsaved and backsliders for not acknowledging You or Your Son.  Forgive them for disobedience, hatred, rebellion, lack of faith, disobedience, and rejection of Your Gospel. Please have mercy upon them and extend Your grace towards them.  Forgive us as a Church Family for not sharing Jesus and the Gospel with more people.  Forgive us for being timid and reserved about sharing the Gospel.  Forgive us for not reaching out to those who we know are in a backslidden state.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the unsaved and backsliders of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Holy, Holy, Holy, are You, the Lord God Almighty.  You are worthy, to receive glory, honor and power.  To You, the blessed, and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light. To You be honor and everlasting power.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

September 8: A Prayer for Our Men

Heavenly Father, we thank You for our men in the Body of Christ.  We thank You for equipping them to take their rightful place in You. Thank You for empowering them to walk in Your power and authority. Thank You for the men who will join the Body of Christ and glorify Your Name. Thank You, God, for restoration, reconciliation and healing in our families and communities. Thank You, for giving our all things that pertain to life and Godliness. How majestic is Your Name in all the earth. Your glory is set above the heavens.  May Your glorious Name be praised; may it be exalted above all blessings and praise! You are great and most worthy of praise. No one can measure Your greatness. You are good to everyone.  You shower compassion upon all of Your creation. All of Your works will thank You, Lord, and we, Your faithful followers, will praise You.  We will tell of the glory of Your Kingdom and give examples of Your power.

Righteous Father, by faith, we call all of our men saved, sanctified, and filled with Your Spirit. Your Word instructs that faith without works is dead, so we confess that our men work to develop and demonstrate their Christian faith daily.  Our men are priestly providers and protectors of their families.  They love the Lord with all of their hearts, minds and strength. They are great leaders, loving husbands and excellent fathers.  We confess that as they submit to Your Word; they are transformed by the renewing of their minds.  Lord, we decree that their belief systems and behavior patterns reflect Your righteousness in their personal and public lives.  We declare that the light of Jesus is reflected by their actions.  As they fellowship with one another; others will see their good works and glorify You, our Father in heaven.  Lord, we confess that Your favor surrounds our men like a shield.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You touch the hearts of our church congregations to continue praying for our men.  Please empower us all to stand against society’s systems and structures that result in ten percent of all pre-school boys being suspended.  Father, studies show that ninety percent of all “behavioral problems” in public schools are linked to boys.  Please touch the hearts of fathers (and mothers) to teach their children Your Godly principles. Give us plans and strategies that will destroy these statistics and encourage our boys to succeed academically, socially and psychologically.  Give teachers and educators creative ways to reach our boys so that the dropout rate among African American and Latino boys will begin to decrease.  Holy Spirit, turn the hearts of our fathers back towards their children and their children’s hearts back towards them.  Show all our parents how to increase their son’s logical skills, linguistic skills, intra-personal skills, interpersonal skills, spatial skills, kinesthetic skills, and musical skills.

Loving Father, forgive our men for sins of disobedience, selfishness, lying, pornography, fornication, adultery and for not accepting the responsibility for leadership within their families and the church.  Forgive our men for rebellion, selfishness and for accepting the negative labels placed on them by the world.  Lord, please help our men to forgive family members, friends and loved ones who have hurt or offended them.  Father, heal emotional wounds caused by these hurts.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind our men of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help our men to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, we praise Your Name. Your Name alone is exalted. Your glory is high above the earth and heaven. You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory, honor and power. You created all things, by Your will they exist and were created. You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 29: A Prayer of Wisdom for the United States Presidential Election

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our King, Lord and leader. Thank You for the right to vote. Thank You for the authority to expect change through prayer. Thank You for giving us the wisdom, discernment and knowledge to pray for our nation’s elections. We, Your servants, praise You.  We will hold up holy hands in prayer and praise You.  Every king in all the earth will thank You, Lord, for all of us will hear Your words. Yes, we will sing about Your ways, for Your glory is very great!  You are great.  You care for the humble, but keep Your distance from the proud. Lord, You are merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.  You are good to everyone and shower compassion on all of Your creation.

Magnificent Father, let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done during the upcoming presidential elections.  Your Word states that we are to pray for kings and all people who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives that are marked by godliness and dignity. We know that this is good and acceptable in Your sight. In obedience to Your Word, we intercede for the upcoming elections. We decree that the political election process will yield to Your plans. Father, You hold the heart of the king in Your hand and You will turn it in the direction that You choose. We confess and expect that the hearts of the candidates will be guided by the power of the Holy Spirit. We command peace to be still within the presidential elections.  We declare that Your plans will prevail and each candidate will address the issues, take the “high road,” and inspire American voters.  We command Your Word, which we speak with boldness and faith, to interrupt the airwaves and destroy every word that is spoken by the media that does not align with Your will for these campaigns.  We decree that every attempt to misconstrue the Truth will be confused, in Jesus’ Name.  We declare that the democratic process will be implemented fairly and justly throughout our city, state and nation during this upcoming election process.

Holy Spirit, give me wisdom and discernment as I research the candidates for President:

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, please speak to the hearts of the candidates.  Continue to increase Your spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, courage, might, and knowledge within them.  We do not know what their level of commitment is to You, but we ask You to communicate with them on behalf of Your people. Equip them with everything they need for doing Your will and produce in them, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to You.  Convict them, along with their entire staff and volunteers, if they use ungodly campaign tactics or resort to political mudslinging.  Confuse the thoughts and messages of those who have disregard for Your Kingdom.  Father, dispatch Your angels to guard and protect their families and destroy every assignment that the devil devises against them.  Father, we know that nothing is too difficult for You.

Everlasting Father, please have mercy upon us and forgive our nation for its many sins.  Forgive us for making “self” the center of our American culture.  Forgive each candidate for his sins.  Forgive them for trusting in their own abilities instead of trusting in You.  Forgive them when they do not consult with You before making decisions or administering their authority and power. Forgive them for the times they have not been fair, compassionate, or understanding as public servants.  Forgive them when they are being people pleasers and not God pleasers.   Forgive us, the Body of Christ, for not praying for our leaders consistently.  Forgive those American citizens who have not exercised the privilege to vote, yet complain about our country’s leadership.

As for me, Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, if there are any candidates who need to forgive anyone, please bring it to their remembrance and help them to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help our candidates to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, You are the eternal King, Your rule is everlasting.  All the people of the earth are nothing compared to You.  All of Your acts are just and true.  You alone have held the oceans in Your hand.  You measured the heavens with Your fingers and know the weight of the earth.  The Lord God Almighty is Your Name.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 28: A Prayer for Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Personnel

Merciful Father, we thank You for the men and women who serve as police officers, firefighters and emergency first responders. Thank You for empowering them spiritually, mentally, psychologically and physically for the trauma that they face daily.  Thank You for being their strength and their hope. You are awesome in Your sanctuary.  God of Israel, You give power and strength to Your people. Praise be to You, God! May all who are Godly rejoice in You, Lord, and praise Your holy Name! Let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. We give thanks to You who made the heavens so skillfully. Your faithful love endures forever. We give thanks to You who placed the earth among the waters.  Your faithful love endures forever.

Today, we stand in the gap for our police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel.  We declare God’s protection and provision over their lives.  In Jesus’ Name, we declare that no weapon turned against them will succeed.  Every voice which rises up to accuse them will be silenced. As they go out on emergency calls, we confess that You will order Your angels to protect them wherever they go.  Your angels will hold them up with their hands so they will not hurt their foot on a stone. By faith, we confess that the public servants who are called by Your Name, Father, will love You with all of their hearts, soul, strength, and mind.  They will find their source of strength in You. We declare that they will consistently seek Your will in all that they do and You will show them which path to take.

Holy Spirit, show me ways in which I may assist the police, fire and emergency medical personnel in my community:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, as the first responders seek You for wisdom, please reveal any snares, traps or pitfalls that may lay ahead of them and show them how to circumvent these dangers. Help all first responders remain focused when they respond to an emergency. Help them to all work together as a well-oiled machine.  Remind them to be their brother or sister’s keeper. Calm the fears of their loved ones, especially young children. Help the family members to trust You for the safety of their loved ones. Comfort the families of those first responders who have died. Holy Spirit, remind those first responders who are Believers to always be joyful, never stop praying and to be thankful in all circumstances.  Remind the citizens of our great city to be mindful of our first responders; to follow their instructions, pray for them and to be appreciative of the commitment that these men and women have made to our city.

Merciful Father, forgive our police, fire and emergency personnel for their sins.  Forgive them for any injustice within the respective departments. Forgive us as a city for failing to recognize first responders until a tragedy occurs.   Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind our police officers, fire-fighters and emergency medical personnel of those they need to forgive and help them to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help our police officers, fire-fighters and emergency medical personnel to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord of Heaven’s Armies, You are great.  How deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on Your mountain! As Your Name deserves, O God, You will be praised to the ends of the earth. Your strong right hand is filled with victory.  God Almighty, You reign forever and ever! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 22: A Prayer for Young Adults

Marvelous Father, we thank You for the young adults in our Church Family.  Thank You for the bright and prosperous future that You have for each of them. Thank You for the blood of Your precious Son, Jesus Christ, that brought us all near to You. Great is Your faithfulness. Your mercies are fresh every morning. We praise Your great and awesome Name. Your Name is holy! It is because of Your faithfulness that our young adults are kept strong in You and the power of Your might.

Faithful Father, we declare that the young adults in our Church Family are confident they have been raised from the dead along with Christ, and they are seated in the heavenly realms because they are united with Him. They are new people. Their old lives are gone, and a new life has begun!  Lord, it is Your will that they be joyful always, ceaseless in prayer, and thankful in all circumstances. In Jesus’ Name, we declare that they are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. They do only those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. We declare that wisdom will enter their hearts, and knowledge will fill them with joy. Wise choices will watch over them and understanding will keep them safe.  We decree that they are living wisely and making the most of every opportunity.

Holy Spirit, help our young adults to strip off every weight that slows them down; especially the sin that so easily trips them up. Teach them to run with endurance the race God has set before them. Search them, O God, and know their hearts. Test them and know their anxious thoughts. Point out anything in them that offends You, and lead them along the path of everlasting life. Help them to daily trust in the Lord with all of their hearts and not lean to their own understanding, to seek His will in all that they do so that He can show them which path to take.  Show them how to make divine connections with others who will hold them accountable and help keep them focused and pressing toward the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling them.  Lord, show them the place and position that You have ordained for them in Your Kingdom.  Help us as a Church Family to embrace and empower our young adults to stand strong in their Kingdom faith.

Father, I commit to encouraging and praying for the following young adults:

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Compassionate Father, forgive our young adults collectively and individually for the sinful acts that they have committed against You, including: idolatry, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, homosexuality, selfish ambitions, fornication, envy, drunkenness, division and disobedience. Forgive them for times when they have lost sight of who they are in Christ Jesus. Forgive us as a Church Family where we have not acknowledged or embraced our young adults.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind our young adults of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help our young adults not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Almighty God, You alone are God. You are the First and the Last. It was Your hand that laid the foundations of the earth; Your right hand that spread out the heavens above. When You call out the stars, they all appear in order. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours, O Lord, and this is Your Kingdom.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 15: A Declaration of Wisdom and Unity for President Barack Obama, His Administration and Congress

Almighty Father, thank You for blessing our country, the United States of America. Thank You for being patient with our nation despite all the rancor and division. Thank You for continuing to pour out Your Spirit over this nation and advancing Your Kingdom on earth. We appreciate Your loving-kindness and tender mercies.  Father, we come singing a new song to You, for You have done wonderful deeds.  With all that we are, we will praise You, our Lord and God; for You are great!  You are robed with honor and majesty.  You are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens; You lay out the rafters of Your home in the rain clouds. You make clouds Your chariot; You ride upon the wings of the wind.

Righteous Father, Your Word declares that all authority comes from You, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by You. With this in mind, we submit to You our President, his administration and Congress. By faith, we declare that President Barack Obama, and those individuals within his cabinet and Congress who know You, will trust in You with all of their hearts and not depend on their own understanding.  They will seek Your will in all that they do and as they do this, we trust that You will show them which path to take as they lead and direct this nation.  We declare that they will not be impressed with their own wisdom, but instead they will fear You and turn away from evil. Your Word admonishes that a house divided against itself cannot stand.  We decree that the members of Congress will work together towards the good of the American people.  We declare that they will turn away from division and evil and do good; they will search for peace and work to maintain it.

Holy Spirit, show me how I can continue to pray for President Obama, his administration and Congress:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Triumphant God, please arise in our government and cause Your enemies of racism, partiality, confusion and discord to be scattered. Holy Spirit, please continue to pour Your wisdom, discernment and power into President Obama, his administration and Congress. Continue to surround him and his administration with favor as they conduct business with Congress and world leaders. Please give them Your ideas to conquer the issues that are plaguing our nation including the environment, education, injustice, unemployment, economy, healthcare, national security, and the natural disasters that have devastated our nation. Continue to touch the Body of Christ to pray for President Obama and all government leaders so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by Godliness and dignity.

Righteous Father, please forgive our nation for imperialism, consumerism and a form of capitalism that is oppressive and subversive.  Forgive us for idolatry, lying, deceit and character assassination. Forgive us for being self-serving, boastful, proud and arrogant.  Forgive us for not acknowledging Your authority and for compromising Your truth.  We realize that our sins are many!  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind President Obama, His Administration and Congress of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help President Obama, His Administration and Congress not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to You forever and ever. You are the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end.  You are the One who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 10: A Prayer for Economic Development in Our Community

Almighty God, who created the heavens and the earth and everything in it. You give breath to everyone and life to everyone who walks the earth. We love You and come before You in the Name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.  We will praise Your mighty deeds, O Sovereign Lord. We will tell everyone that You alone are just. We praise You, Lord! Father God, we are joyful because we fear You, Lord, and delight in obeying Your commands. We are blessed to be Your children. Father, even though people everywhere talk about recession and foreclosures, we are thankful in all circumstances, for this is Your will for us who belong to Christ Jesus. We offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing
joyfully about Your glorious acts. Father, we thank You for being the source of our supply. We thank You for taking care of us and supplying all of our needs from Your glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Heavenly Father, we are encouraged that You give prosperity to the poor and protect those who suffer. We proclaim that our children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever. Lord, we expect business leaders in our community to honor Your Word and live by Your precepts. We command light to shine in the darkness for the godly. We declare that they are generous, compassionate, and righteous. Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. During the current economic difficulties in our nation and around the world, we claim prosperity for our community. We decree that merchants in our community will not fear bad news; they confidently trust You, Lord, to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face foes triumphantly. They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor. The wicked will see this and be infuriated. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted. Yes, we expect the Lord to pour down His blessings. We decree that our land will yield its bountiful harvest. Father, we declare that we will support the businesses of the godly men and women in our community.

Father we lift up to You believers in our community who are providing goods and services in a fair and decent manner and pray that our fellow citizens will do business with them. May they be given favor by governmental and civic agencies so that their enterprises will not be impeded, but will flourish. Holy Spirit, inspire these merchants to deal with residents
in our community fairly. Father, deal with the hearts of business owners in all communities who take advantage of poor and destitute laborers, whether they are fellow Americans or foreigners living in our towns. Empower employees in our area to be diligent, honest and trustworthy and to work to increase their knowledge and productivity. Holy Spirit, show
unscrupulous business people in our community the error of their dealings and touch their hearts to repent and change their business practices. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to You, that You may have mercy on them. Yes, Holy Spirit, help them to turn to God, our Father, for He will forgive
generously. Admonish those in our community who do not support local merchants or who try to exploit their businesses.  Cause them to repent and seek forgiveness.

Holy Spirit, remind me to support businesses in my community which are worthy of my patronage. Make a list of businesses in your community and begin to support them.
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Righteous Father, You are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for Your help. Lord, forgive the business owners in our community for all acts of sinfulness. Forgive those who have not been diligent in seeking Your leadership for their businesses. Forgive those who do not trust in You and Your business principles; but lean on their own understanding. Forgive those who have compromised Your Word in order to make a profit. Forgive those who have not treated their employees and customers fairly. Forgive those who have not been faithful in giving through tithes and offerings. Forgive those who have not properly taken care of or shown respect for the community they live in. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.) Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Almighty God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary. O God of Israel, You give power and strength to Your people.  Praise be to You, God! Let all that we are praise You Lord, our God; how great You are! You are robed with honor and majesty. You live from everlasting to everlasting! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

August 9: A Declaration of Financial Breakthrough

Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our provider.  Thank You for giving us Your Word on how to make our way prosperous and successful.  Father, thank You for surrounding us with Your favor like a shield as we do business in our public and private lives. Thank You for continuing to open doors of opportunity.  Thank You, Father, for Your Word to use as our economic strong tower during these trying financial times.  We praise You with all of our hearts; we will tell of all the marvelous things You have done.  Your reign is forever.  You execute judgment from Your throne.  You judge the world with justice and the people righteously.  Lord, You are a shelter for the oppressed and a refuge in times of trouble.  We trust in You because we know Your Name; we know that You do not abandon those who search for You.  Father, Your righteousness reaches to the highest heavens. You have done wonderful things!  Who can compare with You?

Glorious Father, we declare that we are blessed because we fear You, and delight in obeying Your commands.  We believe that Your plans for our finances are for good and not for disaster, to give us a prosperous future and a hope.  As we are willing and obedient, according to Your Word, we will have plenty to eat.  We will trust in You because we know that Your Word is Truth. We confess that our confidence is in You and not in our jobs, our investments, our bank accounts or ourselves. We commit to seeking Your Kingdom first above all things and living righteously and we know that You will give us everything we need. We rebuke old mindsets, habits and behavior patterns that have created lack and poverty. In the Name of Jesus, we stand united against thoughts of failure, defeat and mediocrity. According to Your Word, we confess that we will be wealthy and our good deeds will last forever.

What are God’s promises for your finances?  Write those Scriptures down and confess them over your life:

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, we ask You to help those who are drowning in financial debt.  Lead them to someone who can help them to manage their finances better. As we receive increases in our finances, help us, Holy Spirit, to remember that You are the One who provides abundance. Please help us to not hoard Your financial blessings. Your Word says that when we help the poor, we are lending to the Lord and He will repay our generosity. So please, Holy Spirit, remind us to be generous and to look for opportunities to be a financial blessing to someone else in need. Teach us Your Way to love people and to use money, rather than the devil’s way of loving money and using people.

Merciful Father, forgive us for all acts of sin including idolatry, greed, stinginess, self-centeredness, arrogance, pride, stubbornness, financial disobedience and any other act of unrighteousness. Forgive those of us who continue to participate in the downward spiral of financial mismanagement.  Forgive those of us who, whether in ignorance or in rebellion, fail to develop financial plans that include tithing, debt reduction, savings and investments. Forgive us for living beyond our means and misusing credit cards. Father, forgive those members of the Body of Christ who do not pay their tithes and help them to get on track and begin to tithe.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Glorious Lord, You made the earth by the power of Your Word and preserve it by Your Wisdom.  With Your own understanding You stretched out the heavens.  When You speak in the thunder, You announce that the heavens are filled with water.  You cause the clouds to rise over the earth.  You send the lightning with the rain and release the wind from Your storehouses.  Holy, holy, holy are You the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the whole earth is filled with Your glory!  In Jesus Name, Amen.

August 7: A Prayer for Young Adults

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
