October 1: A Prayer of Love for God and Our Neighbor

Almighty Father, thank You for loving us despite how we sometimes act or think.  Thank You for giving us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with Your love, so that we may share love with others.  Thank You for helping us to be more loving and compassionate towards others. Lord, we come before You clapping our hands and shouting joyful praise to You.  You are the great King of all the earth.  You subdue the nations before us and put our enemies under our feet. Our hearts are confident in You, Father.  Because of this confidence, we will sing Your praises. We will wake the dawn with our song, Lord, among all the people.  We will sing Your praises among the nations for Your unfailing love is as high as the heavens.  Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Glorious Father, as Your dear children, we commit to loving You with all our hearts, and with all our souls, and with all our minds. This is the greatest and most important commandment of all. In the same Spirit, we also commit to loving our neighbors as ourselves. We confess that the Holy Spirit fills and controls us as we commit to doing Your will. We decree that we will be patient and kind instead of acting jealous, boastful, proud or rude.  We will not demand our own way, but we will be considerate of others and their opinions.  We will not be irritable or keep a record of being wronged.  But, we will be joyful and quick to forgive. We commit to living a righteous life. We will be patient and will not return evil with evil.  We will let our light shine so that people will see our good works and glorify You, our Father.

Holy Spirit, show us how to truly love the Father with our whole heart, soul, mind and strength.  Reveal to us those habits, mindsets and attitudes that prevent us from being truly surrendered to the Father.  Help us to not deceive ourselves by thinking we are walking in love while using our tongues to curse those who have been made in the Father’s image. In this world where we are told to put ourselves first, help us to truly put the Father first in our lives, and to esteem others better than ourselves.

Exalted Father, we ask Your forgiveness for our sins.  Forgive us for being irreverent and apathetic towards You.  Forgive us for murmuring and complaining and not showing our love and appreciation for all that You do for us.  Forgive us for being impatient with our neighbor. Forgive us for picking and choosing to whom we will show love.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Eternal Lord, You are God alone.  You created the heavens and the earth; You put everything in its place.  You made the world to be lived in, not a place of empty chaos.  You are the Lord and there is no other.  You only speak what is true and declare only what is right.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen

September 30: A Prayer for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference.  Thank You for redeeming and reconciling us back to You, through Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to comfort, empower and guide us here on earth.  Holy Spirit, we are thankful to You, for Your manifested presence during the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference. Lord, the earth is Yours, and everything that is in it; the world and all its people belong to You.  You laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths.  You are the King of glory.  You are strong and mighty; You are invincible in battle.  You are an awesome God.

Holy Father, we declare that Your Spirit will be poured out upon the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference is a mighty way.  As Your Spirit saturates every speaker, psalmist, musician, conferee, and volunteer; Your sons and daughters will prophesy; Your old men will dream dreams and Your young men will see visions.  We declare that everyone who will attend this conference will be filled, empowered by, and overflowing with Your Spirit.  Your servants, both male and female will abundantly receive Your Spirit in Jesus’ Name.  We confess that as we are all gathered at the conference on one accord, a mighty rushing wind will fill The Kingdom Builders’ Center and everyone will be filled with the Holy Spirit and begin to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gives us utterance.  Father, it is the infilling of the Holy Spirit that empowers us to be witnesses for You in the earth.  We declare that everyone who attends this conference will be set free; for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty in Jesus’ Name!

Loving Father, please instruct us on how to create an atmosphere that is inviting to the Holy Spirit during the conference.  We desire for Your Spirit to hover over us as He hovered over the face of the waters in the beginning of time.  Stretch everyone associated with this conference so that they will expect a mighty move of Your Spirit in their lives.  Remove any preconceived notions that some conferees have been taught in the past concerning the Holy Spirit.  Holy Spirit, we invite You to have Your way during this conference.  Fall fresh upon us!  Help us to lay aside our own agendas and motives so that we can receive a direct impartation of Your power, wisdom, direction, correction, encouragement and love.  Let each person leave this conference walking in the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Merciful Father, forgive us for at times grieving Your Spirit.  Forgive us for acts of sinfulness such as: pride, rebellion, disobedience, selfishness, hatred, stealing, lying, homosexuality, adultery, fornication, and idolatry.  Forgive those of us who have not worshipped You, in Spirit and in Truth.  Forgive those of us who speak of the Holy Spirit, but do not allow Him to operate within us.  Forgive those of us who have a form of godliness, but deny Your power.

Lord of Heaven’s Armies, Your home reaches up to the heavens, while its foundation is on the earth.  You draw up water from the oceans and pour it down as rain on the land.  The Lord is Your Name!  In the mighty Name of Jesus, Amen.

September 29: A Feast of Tabernacles Home Celebration Prayer

Abba Father, we celebrate Your indwelling presence in our lives.  We thank You today, for calling us as a family to celebrate life together.  Thank You for righteous fellowship in our homes.  We thank You for ordering our steps in Your Word.  Thank You for the events, activities and programs during the Feast of Tabernacles. We are grateful for our fellowship which we have with You, our Father; Jesus, our Savior; and the Holy Spirit, our Sustainer.  Lord, You are an awesome God.  Your deeds are so amazing; all who delight in You should ponder them.  Everything You do reveals Your glory and majesty.  Your righteousness never fails.  You are wonderful and Your Name is highly exalted.  You are worthy of all our praise.  You are worthy of the glory, honor and power.  Lord, the heavens declare Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship.

Mighty Father, as Your children, Your will is for us to dwell together in unity.  So as the Body of Christ, we will continue to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.  We will not neglect our meeting together, but we will encourage one another in the faith. We will not get tired of doing what is good for each other.  As a result, we expect to reap a harvest of blessing at the right time.  We will not give up and at every opportunity, we will do good to everyone—especially to those in our family of faith.  Iron sharpens iron, so we will surround ourselves with those who have like minds so that we are positioned to glorify You in our public and private lives.  We will engage in righteous fellowship and forsake all that will deter us from fulfilling Your will.  Father, by faith, we will be doers of Your Word and not hearers only.

Righteous Father, we ask that You align our relationships with Your will in our homes, church, jobs and communities.  Holy Spirit, show each of us how to organize our calendars and schedules so that our fellowship with You and our family and friends is more of a priority. Help us to set the example of what righteousness looks like. Knit our hearts closer together.  Lord, help us to be obedient as You order our steps.

Give us the power to crucify our flesh and walk in Your light.  As we yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, help us to let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify You, our Heavenly Father.

Merciful Father, forgive us for our sins.  Forgive those for the unrighteous relationships that keep them from Your best for their lives. Forgive those of us for putting our work in front of family and friends. Forgive us for having fellowship or relationship with anything that is not of You.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, You are to be praised forever and ever.  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, power, glory, victory, and the majesty.  Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours.  This is Your Kingdom, Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.  Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything.  Power and might are in Your hand, and it is at Your discretion that people are made great and given strength.  O Lord our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious Name.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

September 28: A Prayer for Our Men

Heavenly Father, we thank You for our men in the Body of Christ.  We thank You for equipping them to take their rightful place in You. Thank You for empowering them to walk in Your power and authority. Thank You for the men who will join the Body of Christ and glorify Your Name. Thank You, God, for restoration, reconciliation and healing in our families and communities. Thank You, for giving our all things that pertain to life and Godliness. How majestic is Your Name in all the earth. Your glory is set above the heavens.  May Your glorious Name be praised; may it be exalted above all blessings and praise! You are great and most worthy of praise. No one can measure Your greatness. You are good to everyone.  You shower compassion upon all of Your creation. All of Your works will thank You, Lord, and we, Your faithful followers, will praise You.  We will tell of the glory of Your Kingdom and give examples of Your power.

Righteous Father, by faith, we call all of our men saved, sanctified, and filled with Your Spirit. Your Word instructs that faith without works is dead, so we confess that our men work to develop and demonstrate their Christian faith daily.  Our men are priestly providers and protectors of their families.  They love the Lord with all of their hearts, minds and strength. They are great leaders, loving husbands and excellent fathers.  We confess that as they submit to Your Word; they are transformed by the renewing of their minds.  Lord, we decree that their belief systems and behavior patterns reflect Your righteousness in their personal and public lives.  We declare that the light of Jesus is reflected by their actions.  As they fellowship with one another; others will see their good works and glorify You, our Father in heaven.  Lord, we confess that Your favor surrounds our men like a shield.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You touch the hearts of our church congregations to continue praying for our men.  Please empower us all to stand against society’s systems and structures that result in ten percent of all pre-school boys being suspended.  Father, studies show that ninety percent of all “behavioral problems” in public schools are linked to boys.  Please touch the hearts of fathers (and mothers) to teach their children Your Godly principles. Give us plans and strategies that will destroy these statistics and encourage our boys to succeed academically, socially and psychologically.  Give teachers and educators creative ways to reach our boys so that the dropout rate among African American and Latino boys will begin to decrease.  Holy Spirit, turn the hearts of our fathers back towards their children and their children’s hearts back towards them.  Show all our parents how to increase their son’s logical skills, linguistic skills, intra-personal skills, interpersonal skills, spatial skills, kinesthetic skills, and musical skills.

Loving Father, forgive our men for sins of disobedience, selfishness, lying, pornography, fornication, adultery and for not accepting the responsibility for leadership within their families and the church.  Forgive our men for rebellion, selfishness and for accepting the negative labels placed on them by the world.  Lord, please help our men to forgive family members, friends and loved ones who have hurt or offended them.  Father, heal emotional wounds caused by these hurts.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind our men of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help our men to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, we praise Your Name. Your Name alone is exalted. Your glory is high above the earth and heaven. You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory, honor and power. You created all things, by Your will they exist and were created. You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

September 27: A Prayer of Thanksgiving for the Feast of Tabernacles

Abba Father, we thank You for calling us to worship You and bring You gifts during the Feast of Tabernacles.  Thank You, Jesus, for teaching us God’s Word as You taught the Israelites at the Temple in Jerusalem during the Festival of Tabernacles.  Holy Spirit, we thank You for bringing God’s Word to our remembrance which tells us to celebrate this special Feast each year from generation to generation. O God, You are our God; we earnestly search for You. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how we praise You!  We will praise You as long as we live, lifting up our hands to You in prayer.  You satisfy us more than the richest feast. We will praise You with songs of joy.

Glorious Father, the Feast of Tabernacles belongs to You, and we will all appear before You, O Lord our God, at the place You choose. We commit to appearing before You with special gifts.  Lord, we will come before You joyfully declaring that this festival will be a happy time of celebrating with our sons and daughters, pastors, neighbors, orphans and widows from our towns.  For seven days, we will celebrate this festival to honor You, Lord, at the place You choose, for You have blessed us with bountiful harvests and have given us success in all our work. We declare that this festival will be a time of great joy for all. While we remember that You brought the children of Israel out of Egypt and had them live in temporary shelters, we will remember that Jesus Christ has become our permanent shelter.  We anticipate Your glory “tabernacling” among us during this exciting feast.  We are expecting your presence, anointing, healing, power, joy, peace, and love.

Heavenly Father, we pray for Your provision of both the time and the resources to celebrate this festival in a way that will be pleasing to You. Grant us favor with our employers during the festival.  Holy Spirit, bring to our minds the special gifts we should bring to the Lord on each of the seven days of the festival.  Help us to be grateful for God’s bountiful provision of all that we need so we may be generous in our giving.  As we build our shelters (tents), help us to share with our families, so that everyone understands that each shelter, regardless of its size or placement, is built in remembrance of God’s blessings in our lives.

Holy Father, when You brought Your people out of Egypt, they refused to obey and did not remember the miracles You had done for them.  Instead, they became stubborn and appointed a leader to take them back to their slavery in Egypt! But You are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love. You did not abandon them.  In Your mercy, Father, forgive those of us for being slow or reluctant to be grateful for the many blessings You have bestowed upon us.  Forgive those who are disobedient to Your Word and fail to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles with joy and gratitude.

Lord, You are King! Let the nations tremble! You sit on Your throne between the cherubim. Let the whole earth quake! You sit in majesty in Jerusalem, exalted above all the nations. Let them praise Your great and awesome Name. Your Name is holy! Mighty King, lover of justice, You have established fairness. You have acted with justice and righteousness throughout Israel. We exalt You, Lord our God! We bow low before Your feet, for You are holy!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

September 26: A Prayer for a Successful Morning Glory, Power Tracks, Boiler Room, One-Stop Ministry and The Power Luncheon

Holy Father, we give thanks to You and proclaim Your greatness.  We will let the whole world know what You have done for us.  We thank You for entering into a relationship with us.  Thank You for a time of intimate praise and worship with You during Morning Glory.  Thank You for meeting the physical and spiritual needs of Your people through One Stop Ministry.  Thank You for a time of Christian fellowship and unity during The Power Luncheon.  With our whole hearts and with all that is within us, we bless Your holy Name.  It is You, Father, who crowns us with love and tender mercies.  You fill our lives with good things; our youth is renewed like the eagle’s.  We will sing to You the praises due Your Name and tell everyone about Your miracles.

Triumphant Father, we decree success for Morning Glory, Power Tracks, Boiler Room, One-Stop Ministry and The Power Luncheon. Those who attend the Power Tracks will leave the basic teachings about Christ and go on to mature understanding. The Boiler Room will be as the day of Pentecost when believers met in one place and were filled with the Holy Spirit. Like the first century church in Acts, through The Power Luncheon, we will worship together and share our meal with joy and generosity.  Lord, as Your Word goes forth, we expect the people to be equipped for the work of ministry for the edification of the Body of Christ. Lord, You said if we come close to You, You will come close to us. Therefore, we confess that we will daily meet You in intimate prayer, praise and worship during Morning Glory. We will come before You with broken spirits and repentant hearts as we meet You in Your sanctuary. We know that as we worship You in spirit and truth, there will be a spiritual exchange and we will shed more of our carnal nature and allow the Holy Spirit to take His proper position in our lives. Lord, we expect the Kingdom of God will advance through One-Stop Ministry and miracles, signs and wonders will occur.

Holy Spirit, today I will pray specifically for the following at Prayer Explosion:

Holy Spirit, please fall fresh upon the speaker who will bring a Rhema Word to God’s people during The Power Luncheon. Please instruct those who are coordinating the luncheon and guide them. Help the leaders and volunteers who will work during the luncheon to serve with love, humility and excellence.  Empower The Power Center staff with peace, wisdom and patience as they serve the luncheon attendees.  Help them to coordinate the banquet schedule so that the food is served hot and in a timely manner. Lord, hear our voices and send forth cleansing during Morning Glory. Holy Spirit, remind those who are serving at One-Stop Ministry to put on Your love daily, and unite them together in perfect unity. Clothe each ministry worker with compassion, humility, kindness, gentleness, and patience. Holy Spirit, give them the power to serve with joy, gratitude, love, compassion and enthusiasm.

Everlasting Father, forgive everyone involved in Morning Glory, Power Tracks, Boiler Room, One Stop Ministry and The Power Luncheon for all acts of sinfulness.

Glorious King, all praise belongs to Your Name forever and ever.  You have all wisdom and power.  You control the course of world events; You remove kings and set up other kings.  You give wisdom to the wise and knowledge to scholars.  All honor belongs to You alone.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

September 25:A Prayer for Supernatural Healing and the Manifestations of Miracles at the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the 19th Annual Prayer Explosion Conference. We thank You for manifesting Your supernatural healing and mighty miracles throughout the conference in the past.  We thank You for salvation, which is the greatest miracle of all.  Thank You for blessing us with Your presence.  Lord, we long for You as the deer longs for streams of water.  We thirst for You, the living God.   People will come clapping their hands and shouting joyful praises to You.  You are the Most High and the great King of all the earth.  You subdue nations before us and put our enemies beneath our feet.  You are glorious in all of Your ways!

Lord Jesus, as You performed so many miracles during Your ministry, we rejoice that You said that we would do greater works than You did because You were going to the Father and were sending the Holy Spirit.  We confess that during this conference, we will move to the “greater things.” Lord, just as You turned water into wine, spoke and healed the ruler’s daughter and the woman with the issue of blood, touched the casket and the dead man rose, called Lazarus from the dead, and cast the demons out of Legion; so we expect to have personal encounters of supernatural healing and miracles with You in our lives. During the conference, we decree that the sick will be made whole. The deaf will hear, the mute will to speak and the lame will walk. Holy Spirit, we are expecting that a mighty move of Your Spirit will fall fresh on Youth Prayer Explosion so that every youth who attends will walk in joy, freedom, power, wisdom and be completely on fire for Christ Jesus!

Do you need supernatural healing, a miracle or know of someone who does?  If so, write it down and make the decision to come or bring someone to the Miracles, Healing, and Deliverance Worship Service, Saturday, October 3rd, 9:00 a.m. at The KBC.

Holy Spirit, stir up the gift of faith within each speaker, volunteer and conferee to expect great manifestations of Your power, not only during the conference, but every day of their lives. Lord, allow us all to have personal and direct access to Your glory so we will proclaim as the Samaritan woman, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did!” Holy Spirit, empower us all so that we are effective witnesses of Jesus Christ.

Merciful Father, forgive those people who have doubted Your Word and works.  Forgive those who are operating in fear and unbelief. Forgive those who have not taken the time to say “thank you” for the miraculous works You have done in their lives. Forgive all of us for not comprehending with all the saints the breadth, length, depth, height, and love of Christ which passes all understanding and knowledge.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Eternal Lord, there is no one like You.  You are great and Your Name is full of power.  Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?  That title belongs to You alone.  Among all the wise people of the earth and in all the kingdoms of the world, there is no one like You!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
