April 20: A Declaration of Obedience

Our Father, we thank You for Your love and compassion. Thank You for keeping Your covenant with us throughout the ages.  Thank You for making us Your people. Lord, You are compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. Your unfailing love toward those who fear You is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. Let the whole world fear You, Lord.  Let everyone stand in awe of You.  Almighty God, You are so awesome!  Father, You are great and most worthy of praise.  We will praise You at all times and constantly speak of Your praises.

Righteous Father, as the Body of Christ, we will obey Your commands, walk in Your ways, and fear You.  We confess that Your instructions are perfect, reviving our souls.  Your decrees are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your commandments are right, bringing joy to our hearts. Your commands are clear, giving insight for living.  Revering You is pure, lasting forever.  Your laws are true and each one is fair. Father, Your Word is more desirable than gold, yes, even the finest gold.  Your Word is sweeter than honey dripping from the honeycomb. Your Word warns us and we expect great reward as we obey it. We declare that as we are willing and obedient to You, we will eat the good of the land. We will seek Your Kingdom above all else, and live righteously, and we know that You will give us everything we need.

Today, I will obey God, the Father, in the following areas:

Omnipotent Father, please let Your ears be attentive to our prayer.  Holy Spirit, show us individually and collectively where we are consistently missing the mark.  Help us to turn from our areas of disobedience and fully release our whole hearts to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  Remind us to continue to encourage each other and build each other up on a daily basis.

Compassionate Father, forgive us for sins of pride, rebellion, disobedience, selfishness, hatred, and idolatry.  Lord, forgive us for half-hearted worship. Forgive us for disrespecting Your Name and treating You irreverently. Forgive us where we have not glorified Your Name and Your Kingdom by our actions and lifestyles. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind each of us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Triumphant Lord, You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. You are the God who is, and who was, and who is still to come – the Almighty One, El Shaddai.  All honor and glory belongs to You, God, forever and ever! You are the eternal King, the unseen One who never dies; You alone are God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 19: A Prayer of Declaration of Joy

Omniscient Father, as the Body of Christ, we thank You for being our God.  We thank You for saving us through the sacrifice of Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ. We thank You for sending the Holy Spirit to instruct, guide, teach and comfort us. Thank You, Holy Spirit, for empowering us and filling our lives with joy. Hallel YAH!  Awesome Father, You are great and greatly to be praised. You are to be feared above all gods. The earth is Yours and everything in it; the world and all its people belong to You. You laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean depths. Lord, Your works are wonderful. You are our help and shield.  In You, do our hearts rejoice because we trust in Your holy Name. Let Your unfailing love continue to surround us Lord, for our hope is in You alone.

Wonderful Father, we declare as the Body of Christ, that as we keep the Your commands and abide in Your love; Your joy will remain in us and our joy will overflow.  Today, we confess that we will count it all joy when we fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of our faith produces patience. We will let patience have its perfect work in us so that we may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.  Lord, we confess that instead of shame and dishonor; we will enjoy a double share of honor.  We boldly declare that in this land we possess a double portion of prosperity and everlasting joy is ours.

These are the three things that I am joyful for:

Righteous Father, we ask You to bless all members of the Body of Christ.  Holy Spirit, please instruct us in our relationships, ministries, careers and finances.  Make our hearts strong, blameless, and holy as we stand before God, our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His holy people.  Remind us daily of the Word which tells us that a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.  Holy Spirit, please help each of us to develop a joyful disposition.  Help us all to enjoy life and laugh more.

Loving Father, forgive us for any acts of sinfulness, including strife, discord, jealousy, rivalries, gossip and any abuse of power.  Forgive us for at times not being joyful, being that Your joy is our strength.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Immortal Lord, You are the blessed and only Almighty God.  You are the King of kings, and the Lord of lords.  You alone can never die.  You live in light so brilliant that no human can approach You.  No human eye has ever seen You, nor ever will. To You belongs all honor and power forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 18: A Prayer for Emotional Healing for Those Who Are Overcoming the Death of a Loved One

Redeeming Father, we thank You for the emotional healing of those whose loved one(s) have gone on to be with You.  Thank You for the impact that they had on their lives.  Thank You, Jesus, for leaving them with a gift – Your peace of mind and heart.  We are thankful to You and we bless Your Name.  Father, we give thanks to You and proclaim Your greatness. The whole world shall know what You have done. We will sing praises to You.  We will tell every one of Your wonderful deeds.  You are our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.  We will sing to You as long as we live. We will praise You to our last breath!

Merciful Father, we decree emotional healing for those who are overcoming the death of a loved one. Although they are grieving, they will put their hope in You, God! They will praise You again – as their Savior and their God!  Father, they will trust Your Word.  We declare that You are with them; they will not be discouraged, for You are their God. Your Word says that You will strengthen them and help them. You will hold them up with Your victorious right hand. Your Name, Lord, is a strong fortress; the Godly run to You and are safe. We decree that bereavement will last only for a short time and joy will replace sorrow.

Holy Spirit, help me to become more sensitive to the needs of those around me who are in mourning and show me how I can be an encouragement to them:

Holy Spirit, when we see our brother or sister mourning the death of a loved one, help us to be compassionate, but also to encourage him or her with God’s Word of hope and peace. Bring scriptures to our remembrance that will help to bring solace to our brother or sister.  Remind us to care for the physical needs of those who are in mourning, with food, transportation, child care or any other material thing that may be needed. Help us to be patient and to not be insensitive to their pain. Holy Spirit, when we are grieving as well, comfort us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.

Gracious Father, when others are grieving, forgive us for being impatient as time goes on after a death. Forgive us when we utter unkind words, making light of someone else’s pain at the death of a loved one. Forgive us for not taking care of the physical or emotional needs of others who have suffered loss. Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind those who are overcoming the death of a loved one of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Almighty God, the heavens proclaim Your glory! The skies display Your craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night, they make You known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard, yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

April 17: A Declaration of Kingdom Financial Blessings

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace.  We thank You for Your love for us that never ceases and Your mercy which never comes to an end.  Your mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  Thank You, Father, for being our strength, our shield, our provider and our Savior. You are great and You do wondrous things.  You are God alone.  Lord, You are in Your Holy temple; You are on Your heavenly throne.  To You, O God do we give thanks.  Yes, to You do we give thanks.  We extol You, our God, O King; and we bless Your Name forever and ever.

Righteous Father, as Kingdom citizens, it is Your will that we excel in the area of our finances.  We recognize that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.  Therefore, we will earn, save, spend and invest money in obedience to Your perfect plan for our lives and our families.  We confess that as You bring financial blessings into our lives, we will remember that it is You who gives us the power to get wealth so that the covenant which You swore to our fathers will be established and we will be positioned as instruments to build Your Kingdom.  Father, we decree that all that we set our hands to do is blessed because You have commanded blessings on our storehouses, including savings, investments and retirement accounts.  Lord, as Your blessings overtake us, we will be able to lend money to many and not have to borrow from anyone.  We confess that as we bring our tithes and offerings into Your house, we are expecting You to pour out blessings that we will not have room to receive and You will rebuke the devourer for our sakes.  Lord, because we will be faithful stewards of Your financial blessings, we expect You to confirm Your Word and make us rulers over abundant wealth.

Holy Spirit, show me what I need to do so that I can be a better steward of the resources I have been blessed with:

Holy Spirit, we ask that You shift our focus from spending to saving and from consuming our income to building wealth.  Help the members of the Body of Christ to bind mercy and truth around our necks and write them on our hearts; causing us to have favor in Your sight and in the sight of man.   Lord, help us to study Your Word, to meditate on it day and night and observe to do the things written within it so that we may make our way prosperous and have good success.  Holy Spirit, help us to build business and personal relationships with other Christians.  Help us to begin to love people and use money, rather than loving money and using people.  We pray for a breaking of old mindsets and generational curses of poverty and lack within the families in the Body of Christ.

Forgiving Father, forgive us for our sins.  Forgive us for repeating patterns of financial failures such as living beyond our means and misusing credit cards.  Forgive those in the Body of Christ and our communities for our heavy dependence on payday loan outlets and pawn shops.  Forgive us for failing to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments.  Father, forgive us for walking by sight, rather than walking in faith. Forgive many of us for entertaining thoughts that we are supposed to have the most of the worst and the least of the best.  Forgive those in our congregation who have refused to make court-ordered child support payments.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Yours, Almighty God, is the power and the glory.  Yours, O Lord, is the victory and the majesty.  All that is in heaven and earth is Yours.  Yours is the Kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 16: A Prayer for Persons Who Have Not Accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord (Leader) and Savior (Forgiver)

Magnificent Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You for enlightening our hearts to say “yes” to You when You called us.  Thank You for deciding in advance to adopt us into Your family by bringing us to You through the Lord Jesus.  Lord, You are very great.  We will praise You, Lord, with all that we are and we will never forget the good things You have done for us. You are the One who forgives all our sins, heals us from diseases, redeems us from death, and crowns us with love and tender mercies. We honor You as our Lord and Savior.  Your majestic Name fills the earth.  Your glory is higher than the heavens!

Heavenly Father, we declare that Your Word, as it is spoken, will move swiftly through the earth and save the lost.  We confess that as the Gospel is shared, Your Word will be operative in the lives of those persons who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord (Leader) and Savior (Forgiver). We confess that as people confess with their mouths, the Lord Jesus, and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead, they will be saved.  Father, they will know the Truth, and the Truth will set them free.  As for me, I confess my sins and I am confident that You are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and will cleanse me from all unrighteousness.  Lord, I submit to You, my spirit, soul, and body.  I confess that in Jesus Christ, I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

List the people that you know who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Ask the Holy Spirit for the wisdom to witness to them.  Trust Him to give you the courage to approach them and the words to say to them.

Eternal Father, since the harvest is plentiful, please send laborers to proclaim Your Word of salvation to those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Father, as Your Word goes forth, touch the hearts of the unsaved to receive it.  Circumcise the heart of every man, woman, boy, and girl and draw them to You. Lord, surround them with the counsel of the Godly so that they are washed in the water of Your Word; putting away the old man and putting on the new.  Holy Spirit, please give me the courage and boldness to witness to the unsaved.  Help me to live in such a way that the light of Christ is seen in my private and public life.

Holy Father, forgive the unsaved for not acknowledging You or Your Son.  Forgive those for disobedience, hatred, rebellion, murder, idolatry, homosexuality, greed, racism, adultery, fornication, injustice, violence, and rejection of Your Gospel.  Please have mercy upon them and extend Your grace towards them.  Lord, forgive us as the Body of Christ for not sharing Jesus and the Gospel with more people.  Forgive me for at times being timid and reserved about one of the greatest miracles known to humankind.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Blessed Lord, You are the King of glory.  You are the Lord of hosts.  You are worthy to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 15: A Prayer of Preparation for the Spring Feasts

Holy Father, we thank You for including us in the promises You made to the children of Abraham. We marvel at Your great love and grace toward us. Thank You for setting appointed times during this season to allow us to observe the festivals that You decreed as a permanent law. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for becoming the perfect sacrifice for our sins with Your own blood, so that we are able to come into the Father’s presence to celebrate and worship Him. You have caused all things to come together just as the Father planned.  We offer You our praise and adoration. We will publish Your glorious deeds among the nations, and tell everyone about the amazing things You do. Lord, You are great! You are most worthy of praise! You are to be feared above all gods.

Blessed Father, as we gather together during this Spring Feasts season, it is our desire to prepare ourselves to meet with You at this consecrated time to celebrate the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of First Fruits, and the Feast of Pentecost. We will examine ourselves and confess our sins. We declare that we and our families will serve You alone. We will carefully examine our own homes, and we vow to rid them of any unclean thing that might invite oppression of any kind. As You have commanded us, we will remove all yeast from our homes as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread; not with the old bread of wickedness and evil, but with the new bread of sincerity and truth. As the Body of Christ, we will come into Your presence; we will not hold anything back from our offerings. We will give to You freely and joyfully.

These are the things I will do in preparation for the Spring Feasts:

Holy Spirit, give us Your wise instruction and guidance.  Show us the portions of God’s Holy Word that teach us how to prepare for the Spring Feasts.  Help us all to make thankfulness our sacrifice to God, and to keep the vows we have made to the Most High. Show us any hidden places of the heart that need to be cleansed of sin or idolatry. Lord, bless our families and draw us close to You and each other. May we always keep You and Your Kingdom first in all that we do. Father, meet with us as we celebrate the Spring Feasts to honor You. We are excited about spending this anointed time with You, and we expect to see Your glory manifest among us!

Benevolent Father, have mercy upon us and forgive us when we are ignorant about how to prepare to meet You at Your appointed times. Forgive us for our stubborn reluctance and for clinging to our old traditions instead of following Your divine precepts. Forgive those who choose not to celebrate Your holy festivals or those who are unable or unwilling to bring offerings to You.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Most Holy Father, there is no one like, You, the God of Israel. You ride across the heavens to help us, across the skies in majestic splendor. Praise be to Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords! We will remember the things You have done in the past, for You alone are God. You are God, and there is no one like You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

April 13: A Prayer for Healing and Deliverance from Cancer

Faithful Father, we are thankful for Jesus, the Living Word, who is seated at Your right hand.  We give thanks to You, Lord, for You are good.  Your faithful love endures forever.  Who can list Your glorious miracles, Lord?  We give thanks to You, Jesus, for You took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.  We give thanks to You for You personally carried our sins in Your body on the cross, and freed us from the bondage of death.  By Your wounds, we were healed. Holy Spirit, we thank You for Your power that brings healing to our bodies and souls.  Father, we will exalt You, our God and King, and praise Your Name forever and ever.  Daily, we will praise You, for You are great and most worthy of praise!  No one can measure Your greatness.  We will meditate on Your majestic, glorious splendor and Your wonderful miracles.  Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; we will proclaim Your greatness.

Glorious Father, You are our Healer, and Your Word declares everyone who calls on Your Name will be saved.  By the authority in Your Name, we decree that all forms and types of cancer within the bodies of Your people will no longer have dominion. We decree that no weapon formed against the spiritual and physical bodies of Your people will prosper.  We cancel the devil’s assignments to destroy their bodies with carcinoma, sarcoma, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and all forms of cancer, including the central nervous system.  We declare that all malignant and abnormal cells are dying; they are no longer dividing and spreading through the blood or lymph systems.  We trust in You, our God who brings the dead back to life and who creates new things out of nothing; therefore, we declare life and restoration into their bodies. By faith, we boldly command complete healing of the immune system in the bodies of Your children.  Lord, we decree that You are their light and salvation, so they will not be afraid.  You are their fortress, their protection from danger, so they will not tremble.  We command peace to be still in their lives as they are being made whole by the miraculous power of God.

Holy Spirit, please help those who are overcoming cancer to set their hope on You so that they will continue to obey God’s commands and not forget His glorious miracles. Continue to use all health professionals as instruments of healing; through the practice of medicine, prayer offered in faith, the laying on of hands and other means of healing that You have ordained.  Give researchers divine insight into the causes, diagnoses and treatment of cancers.  Strengthen those persons who are suffering with these conditions in their bodies, and help them to live out their faith in You. Increase their endurance and patience as they walk through the healing process.  Fill them with Your presence and remind them that You will never fail or abandon them.  Daily remind them that there is nothing too hard for God and with Him, everything is possible. Surround them with Your peace as they undergo chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery or other cancer treatment methods.  Touch the hearts of family members to provide an atmosphere of faith, hope and love. Please help to provide the adequate finances, transportation, food, clothing and shelter.  Holy Spirit, teach us all how to live in Your Kingdom and to treat our bodies as Your temple; remind us to eat healthy, exercise and sleep enough hours so that our bodies fully recover from the day’s activities.

Today, I will cry out to the Lord as I pray in faith for:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Gracious God, forgive us for doubting Your love and power to heal our bodies. Forgive us for being irresponsible with our health. Forgive us for not acknowledging the abundance of Your healing virtue, grace and mercy which we have received through our Lord and Savior.  Forgive us for ungodly behavior including:  unforgiveness, bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.  Forgive our nation for creating unhealthy conditions in our food supply and environment.  We confess our sinfulness for we have not always obeyed Your commandments and lived faithfully in Your Word.  Have mercy upon us according to Your Word.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person (s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help those who need healing to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

All glory, majesty, power and authority belong to You before all time, in the present and beyond all time.  You are the King of kings and Lord of lords.  Heaven is Your throne and the earth is Your footstool.   In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 12: A Declaration of Kingdom Fellowship

Abba Father, we thank You for righteous fellowship among the believers in our church and beyond.  We thank You for ordering our steps in Your Word. Thank You for the events, activities and programs within the Body of Christ that help to create fellowship. We are grateful for our fellowship and communion which we have with You, our Father; Jesus, our Savior; and the Holy Spirit, our Sustainer. We thank You with all of our hearts as we meet with Your Godly people. Lord, You are an awesome God. Your deeds are so amazing; all who delight in You should ponder them. Everything You do reveals Your glory and majesty. Your righteousness never fails.  You are wonderful and Your Name is highly exalted. You are worthy of all our praise. You are worthy of the glory, honor and power.  Lord, the heavens declare Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship.

Mighty Father, Your will is for us to dwell together in unity. As the Body of Christ, we declare that we will motivate one another to acts of love and good works. We will not neglect our meeting together; but we will encourage one another in the faith. We will not get tired of doing what is good for each other.  As a result, we expect to reap a harvest of blessing at the right time.  We will not give up, and at every opportunity, we will do good to everyone—especially to those in our family of faith.  Iron sharpens iron so we will surround ourselves with those who have like minds so that we are positioned to glorify You in our public and private lives.  We will engage in righteous fellowship and forsake all that will deter us from fulfilling Your will. We will be doers of Your Word and not hearers only.  We will fight for righteous fellowship and we will win.

Holy Spirit, we ask that You align our relationships with Your will in our homes, church, jobs and communities.  Show each of us how to organize our calendars and schedules so that Godly fellowship is more of a priority. Send Godly friends to those who are lonely. As the Body of Christ, please knit our hearts closer together.  Lord, help us to be obedient as You order our steps.  Give us the power to crucify our flesh and walk in Your light. As we yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, help us to drop our gossip buddies, smoking buddies, promiscuous buddies, club-hopping buddies and anyone who the devil may use to keep us from glorifying God through our fellowship with the righteous.  Help us to let our light so shine before people that they may see our good works and glorify You, our Heavenly Father.

Holy Spirit, show me how to strengthen the God-ordained relationships in my life.  Show me those relationships that I need to end and give me the strength to end them:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Merciful Father, forgive us for our sins. Forgive those for the unrighteous relationships that keep them from Your best for their lives. Forgive those for disobedience when You have told them to end certain relationships and they refuse to do so. Forgive all of us for putting our work in front of family and friends.  Forgive us for having fellowship or relationship with anything that is not of You.  Forgive us for the doors that we may have opened without knowing it from our childhood or adult experiences.  Help us to know that there is no condemnation to those of us who are in Christ and that as we confess our sins, we are forgiven and that You remember them no more.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, You are to be praised forever and ever.  Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, power, glory, victory, and the majesty.  Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours.  This is Your Kingdom, Lord, and You are over all things.  Wealth and honor come from You alone, for You rule over everything.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

April 11: A Prayer for a Disciplined Lifestyle

Loving Father, we thank You for Jesus. Thank You for working in us; giving us the desire and the power to do what please You. We give You thanks, O Lord, with all our hearts. We will sing Your praises. We bow before Your holy Temple as we worship. We praise Your Name for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, for Your promises are backed by all the honor of Your Name. As soon as we pray, You answer us. You encourage us by giving us strength.

Divine Father, apart from Jesus, the True Vine, we can do nothing. We realize that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.  We do not belong to ourselves for You bought us with a high price, so we must honor You with our bodies. As true disciples of Jesus Christ, we will remain faithful to His teachings. We know the truth, and the truth has set us free. We will remain strong and immovable. We understand the impact of our influence on others, therefore we make a decision today to live in such a way that will not cause another believer to stumble and fall. Father, we declare that we listen to Your voice. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we take authority over our minds, wills, and emotions because we are surrounded by a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith. Therefore, we strip off every weight that slows us down; especially the sin that easily trips us up. And we declare that we will run with endurance the race that You have set before us. We will do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects our faith.

Holy Spirit, remind us that the Father has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. We ask You to guide our lives so that we won’t do what our sinful nature craves. Give us desires that are opposite of what our sinful nature desires so that we can remain faithful to the calling of God on our lives. Show us how to develop an ear to hear You when You speak the Father’s will to us and help us to be quick to obey. Whenever we are in danger of backsliding into our old ways, please help us to remember that we are the salt and light to this world.

Holy Spirit, today I will commit to developing greater spiritual discipline by doing the following (write down the Holy Spirit’s instructions to you):

 _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Precious Father, forgive us of our sins. Forgive us for neglecting and rejecting spiritual discipline in our personal lives. Forgive us for straying away and leaving Your righteousness to follow our own sinfulness. Forgive us for being foolish and prideful. Forgive us for failing to hide Your Word in our hearts on a regular basis to safeguard ourselves from sinning against You. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that You have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Almighty Father, blessed be Your holy Name. You are honored in Judah. Your Name is great in Israel. Jerusalem is where You live and Mount Zion is Your home. Salvation comes from You, the God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to You forever and ever!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
