Another Prayer for Finances

Another Prayer for Finances

Scripture Reading:

Daniel 6:25-27, Proverbs 10:1-17

Reflections of the Heart:

“Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, let the Lord be magnified, who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” Psalm 35:27

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, You are great and You do wondrous things.  You are God alone.  Lord, You are in Your Holy temple; You are on Your heavenly throne.  To You, O God, do we give thanks.  Yes, to You do we give thanks.  We thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace.  We thank You for Your love for us that never ceases and Your mercy which never comes to an end.  Your mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  Thank You, Father, for being our strength, our shield, our provider and our Savior.  We extol You, our God, O King; and we bless Your Name forever and ever.

Father, it is Your will that we excel in the area of our finances.  As a Church Family , we recognize that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.  Therefore, we will earn, save, spend and invest money in obedience to Your perfect plan for our lives and our families.  We confess that as You bring financial blessings into our lives, we will remember that it is You who gives us the power to get wealth so that the covenant which You swore to our fathers will be established and we will be positioned as instruments to build Your kingdom.  Father, we confess that all that we set our hands to do is blessed because You have commanded blessings on our storehouses, including savings, investments and retirement accounts.  Lord, we declare that as Your blessings overtake us, we will be able to lend money to many and not have to borrow from anyone.  We confess that as we bring the tithes into Your house, we are expecting You to pour out blessings that we will not have room to receive and to rebuke the devourer for our sakes.  Lord, because we will be faithful stewards of Your financial blessings, we expect You to confirm Your word and make us rulers over abundant wealth.  We call forth a release of a new anointing of entrepreneurship, new ideas and new businesses upon our lives. We command promotions and financial increase to manifest in the life of every Church Family member during this year according to God’s Word. Lord, we call forth a spirit of excellence and abundance in all aspects of our lives.  Additionally, we command all of the finances for the KBC to come forth now!

Holy Spirit, as a people, we ask that You shift our focus from spending to saving and from consuming our income to building wealth.  We ask You to help us as a Church Family  to bind mercy and truth around our necks and write them on our hearts; causing us to have favor in Your sight and in the sight of people.   Lord, help us to study Your word, to meditate on it day and night, and to apply Your word to our daily living, so that we may make our way prosperous and have good success.  Holy Spirit, help us to build business and personal relationships with other Christians.  Help us to begin to love people and use money, rather than loving money and using people.  We pray for a breaking of old mindsets and generational curses of poverty and lack within the families of our congregation.

Today, I commit to making the following changes in order to maximize my financial future in the Lord:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Father, forgive us for our sins.  Forgive us for repeating patterns of financial failures such as living beyond our means and misusing credit cards.  Forgive those in our congregation and our communities for our heavy dependence on payday loan outlets and pawn shops.  Forgive us for failing to develop financial plans that include debt reduction, savings and investments.  Forgive many of us for entertaining thoughts that we are supposed to have the most of the worst and the least of the best.  Forgive those men in our congregation who have contributed to poverty-like conditions for many of our children by refusing to make court-ordered child support payments.  Forgive us for not recognizing that You will not withhold any good thing from us, as we walk uprightly before You.  Forgive us for words and thoughts of doubt and unbelief.  Father, forgive us for walking by sight, rather than walking in faith.  Lord, remind us of those we need to forgive, and we will be quick to forgive.

Lead us not into temptation; but, deliver us from the evil one.

Yours, God, is the power and the glory.  Yours, O Lord, is the victory and the majesty.  All that is in heaven and earth is Yours.  Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Healing for Persons Diagnosed with Cancer

A Prayer of Healing for Persons Diagnosed with Cancer

Scripture Reading:

Exodus 15:6-18, James 5:13-16

Reflections of the Heart:

Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever!  In Mark 16:17-18 (NLT), Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe:  They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages.  They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them.  They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”  Therefore, as believers, let us do what Jesus did!

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we proclaim Your righteousness and praise all the day long.  Your faithful love endures forever and Your mercies never cease.  Great is Your faithfulness.  Who can compare to You?  We exalt Your Holy and Righteous Name.  You are the Holy One of Israel who sent Jesus, our Lord and Savior, to redeem all mankind from the curse of the law of sin and death.  Lord, we thank You for watching over those persons who have been diagnosed with cancer.  Thank You for Your healing power.  Thank You, Lord, for declaring us overcomers by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.

Gracious Father, Your thoughts towards us are of peace and not evil, to give us a future and a hope.  We believe that it is Your will that we live free from all diseases.  Lord, by the authority given to us, we declare that the infirmity of cancer with its many forms and common types – bladder, breast, colon and rectal, endometrial, leukemia, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, prostate, skin, thyroid and other types—are destroyed, in Jesus’ Name.  We command the primary abnormally deformed cell to die at its root and the metastasizing cells to cease from spreading throughout the body, especially to the lungs, bones, liver and brain.   We command the increased production of healthy cells to destroy renegade cells. We declare that abnormal cells will die and not enter into the bloodstream or lymphatic system.  Lord, as the Body of Christ, we declare that our members who have been diagnosed with cancer will not die; but live to tell what You have done.  Lord, I confess that by the stripes of Jesus, (name the person(s) who need healing from cancer) is healed, redeemed, restored and set free from cancer and its symptoms.  I declare that supernatural healing is flowing throughout his/her body, in Jesus Name.

Holy Spirit, please reveal the cure for cancer.  We ask You to increase the wisdom and knowledge of medical researchers as they perform cancer studies.  We ask You to strengthen those persons who are being treated for cancer.  Increase their endurance and patience as they undergo x-rays, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological therapy, hormone therapy, surgery, cryosurgery and other procedures.  Holy Spirit, comfort and strengthen their family members.  Help their family members to walk in love, peace, patience and faith.  Please protect those who have not been touched by cancer.  Destroy any triggers that would create cancerous cells in our bodies.  Lord, help us to break poor eating and sleeping habits.   Remind us to exercise, eat healthy and get enough sleep.

Father, we ask You to forgive the sins of those diagnosed with cancer.  Forgive us all for unhealthy lifestyles and habits.  Forgive us for not being good stewards of neither our bodies nor our children’s. Forgive us for holding grudges, unforgiveness, resentment, and embedded anger.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind those who have been diagnosed with cancer to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.  As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Our Father, help all of us to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You are our Redeemer.  You are the Lord who makes all things.  You stretched out the heavens all alone and You spread abroad the earth.  Lord, forever Your Word is settled in heaven.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Persons with Renegade Blood Disorders

A Prayer for Persons with Renegade Blood Disorders

Scripture Reading

Psalm 138, James 5:13-16

Reflections of the Heart:

Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever! In Mark 16:17-18 (NLT), Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe:  They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages.  They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them.  They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”  Therefore, as believers, let us do what Jesus did!

Scriptural Prayer:

Righteous Father, we praise and honor Your Name.  Your Name is the Lord and we will rejoice before You.  You have been our home through all generations.  We praise You, Lord God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.  Lord, what a variety of things You have made.  In wisdom, You have made them all.  The earth is full of Your creatures.  Thank You, Father, for sending Your Word to heal us, and for snatching us from the door of death.  Thank You, Jesus, for shedding Your blood so that people may be healed.  Thank You, Holy Spirit, for empowering Your Word to provide healing when we speak it.

List the names of persons who are battling with a renegade blood disorder.  Now, declare this Word over their lives today and encourage them to trust the Lord.  Healing Scriptures can be downloaded from www.kingdombuilders.com.  Go to the prayer link.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Immortal Father, we pray for all persons with renegade blood disorders such as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Sickle Cell Anemia, Lupus, Hypertension, and Hemophilia.  Lord, today, we apply Your Word to these blood-related diseases and we are expecting miracles.  Lord Jesus, You personally carried our sins in Your body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right.  Therefore, by Your wounds, we are healed.  According to the authority that You have given us to heal the sick and cast out demons, we command Your Word to be operative in the blood cells of every person who is experiencing blood disorders.   Lord, we command their blood circulatory systems to operate perfectly.  We command their lungs, hearts and organs to function correctly as designed by You.  We command their red blood cells to carry the appropriate oxygen throughout their bodies and their white blood cells to form a protective shield against all foreign bodies.  Lord, we confess that as each person pays attention to Your Word, and lets it penetrate deep into their hearts, the Word will bring life to them and healing to their whole body.  Lord, we are expecting their health to be restored.  Father, we are expecting miracles!

Holy Spirit, we ask You to touch the hearts of those persons who have not confessed Jesus Christ, to confess Him as their Savior and Lord.  Please give strength to those who are weak, and increase power to those who have no might.  Lord, please give wisdom to the practitioners who provide medical treatment.  Regardless of their relationship with You, please work through them for the sake of those who are suffering.  Lord, please remind those who are battling with their health to take Your Word daily; just as they would take their prescribed medicine.  Father, remind them to eat healthy foods and to get the proper rest.  Help those persons who are struggling with receiving help to accept the kindness of others.  Lord, please help them to guard their hearts and minds from doubt and unbelief.  Please give them comfort, and help them to walk by faith.

Loving Father, forgive all acts of sinfulness for those persons who are battling with renegade blood disorders.  Please forgive the sins and iniquities of their forefathers.  Forgive each person for worry, fear and for walking in doubt and disobedience.  Forgive those who do not diligently seek after You.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind those persons with renegade blood disorders of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive.

Omnipotent Father, help them to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Impartial God, You are greater than we can understand.  Your years cannot be counted.  You draw up the water vapor and distill it into rain.  Only You know where light comes from and where darkness goes.  You direct the movement of the stars, binding the cluster of the Pleiades and loosening the cords of Orion.  Holy and triumphant is Your Name!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Mental Healing

A Prayer for Mental Healing

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 18:1-31, Psalm 42

Reflections of the Heart:

We receive comfort in these words, “Those who wait on the Lord will find new strength.  They will fly high on wings like eagles.  They will run and not grow weary.  They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)

Scriptural Prayer:

Wonderful Father, You are great and most worthy of praise. You are to be feared above all gods.  The earth is Yours and everything in it; the world and all its people belong to You. You laid the earth’s foundation on the seas and built it on the ocean’s depths.  You are the King of glory; the Lord strong and mighty.  You are the Lord, invincible in battle.  O Lord, you have performed many wonders for us.  Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal.  We are grateful that when we, Your people, call to You for help, You hear and rescue us out of our troubles.  Thank You for giving us Your peace and joy.  Thank You for providing a life of hope, abundance, and destiny.  Thank You for being our strength in times of weakness.

Father, You said that You would give rest to all who are weary and heavy burdened. Your yoke is easy and Your burdens are light.  We are supposed to trust in You with all of our hearts and not depend on our own understanding.  We are to seek Your will in all that we do and You will show us which path to take.  You are the God who will bring rest to our souls.  We trust in Your Word and believe that Your Word will be operative in the hearts and souls of those with mental illnesses.  We confess that when they walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive them and stretch forth Your hand and save them. You have left Your gift of peace of mind with them and we pray that their hearts will not be afraid.  We confess, even though they may be pressed on every side by troubles, they will not be crushed and broken.  They may feel perplexed, but they will not give up and quit.  They may be hunted down, but You will never abandon them.  They may be knocked down, but they will get up and keep going.  Father, we confess that they will lie down without fear and enjoy pleasant dreams.  They will not be afraid of the threat of disaster or destruction; for You are their security.

Holy Spirit, we ask You to replace sadness with joy, defeat with victory, and fatigue with praise.  Help those who feel depressed or sad to not focus on their circumstances, but rather focus on Your blessings in their lives.  Remind them to praise You at all times.  We ask that You bring all things to their memory that concern You and Your plans for their lives.  Give them power as they meditate on Your Word.   Help them to keep Your commandments and embrace them in their hearts.  Father, help them to not be conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of their minds through Your Word.  Holy Spirit, we ask that You strengthen and renew their innermost being.  Let the fiery darts of the enemy not permeate their being.  May they always hear Your voice and obey Your will.  Father, please help them to overcome their fears. Please strengthen their family members and caretakers and help them to always walk in Your peace and love with their loved one(s).

Merciful Father, forgive them for sin.  Forgive them for worry and fear.  Forgive them for being anxious.  Forgive them for not being diligent in fasting and praying.  Forgive them for not trusting You at all times.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Help them not to yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Father, You are the Lord God Almighty!  Let the whole world glorify You, Lord; let it sing Your praises!  You will march forth like a mighty hero.  You will come out like a warrior, full of fury.  You will shout Your battle cry and crush all of Your enemies.  You alone are worthy to receive glory and honor and power.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for Physical Healing

A Prayer for Physical Healing

Scripture Reading

Psalm 111, James 5:13-16

Reflections of the Heart:

Divine healing is as real today as it was in the book of Acts.  Jesus is the same today, yesterday, and forever!  In Mark 16:17-18, Jesus said, “These signs will accompany those who believe:  They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak new languages.  They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them.  They will be able to place their hands on the sick and heal them.”  Let us do what Jesus did!

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, You are great and You perform wonderful deeds.  You alone are God.  How great are Your signs and how powerful are Your wonders.  Lord, You are high above all the nations.  Your glory is higher than the heavens.  Who can be compared with You, our God, who is enthroned on high.   We give thanks because You are near.  People everywhere will tell of Your wonderful deeds.   Lord, we thank You for salvation, the greatest miracle of all.  Thank You for Your eternal love and unmerited grace.  Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to break the power of the devil and to bring us hope, health, and healing.  Lord, You are good and Your unfailing love endures forever.

Lord, You brought Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and powerful arm.  Jesus Christ, Your Son, turned water into wine, cleansed lepers, healed the sick, raised the dead, and fed five thousand people with two fish and five loaves of bread.  Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples so that we would believe that He is the Christ, the Son of God, and have life in His name.   We believe Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.   Therefore; Father we expect You to display Your glory in the lives of those persons who are in need of healing and deliverance.  With You, nothing is impossible.  We expect diseases to be dissolved, broken relationships to be mended, and those who are held captive in their minds and souls to be set free.  As we pray for those in need of healing, we confess that Your healing power will operate through us.  In Jesus’ Name, we declare healing for (list the names of people you know who need a physical healing; encourage them to pray scriptures of healing located at prayerinstitute.com.)

Father, please help us to be bolder about praying for healing.  Help those in need of healing to trust in You with all of their heart and not depend on their own understanding.  Holy Spirit, please open the eyes of their understanding so that they will understand the confident hope He has given to those He has called in the miraculous.  Remind people to look to You for help, strength, and power.  Father, cause Your healing power to be experienced throughout our church and community.

Father, forgive those persons who have doubted Your Word and Your works.  Forgive them for acting godly, but denying Your power to perform healings, signs and wonders in their lives and in the lives of others.  Lord, please forgive them and restore to them the joy of Your salvation.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Lord, help them to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Father, You are the Almighty!  Only You can open the eyes of the blind and unplug the ears of the deaf.  You cause the lame to leap like deer and those who cannot speak to sing for joy. You cause springs to gush forth in the wilderness and streams to water the wasteland.   You cause the parched ground to become a pool and springs of water to satisfy the thirsty land. Great and awesome is Your Name.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for the Manifestations of Miracles

A Prayer for the Manifestations of Miracles

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 24, Mark 6:42

Reflections of the Heart:

Miracles are those events, actions or activities that no human can perform of his/her own power.  Think of things in your life that only God can change and boldly take those needs to Him.  Expect to see His mighty hand move in your life!  Our God is the God of miracles!

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You are our God; we earnestly search for You.  Our souls thirst for You; our bodies long for You in this parched and weary land where there is no water.  Lord, we have seen You in Your sanctuary and gazed upon Your power and glory.  Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how we praise You!  We will praise You as long as we live; we will lift up our hands to You in prayer.  You are more satisfying than the richest feast and we will praise You with songs of joy.  Father, we thank You for manifesting Your mighty miracles throughout the body of Christ.  Thank You for healing (name a person whose been healed).  We thank You for salvation, which is the greatest miracle of all.  Thank You for blessing us with Your presence.

Father, according to Your own will, You ministered with signs and wonders, various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit.  Therefore, we expect miracles to manifest during our times of worship.  Lord, just as You brought Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and outstretched arm, so we believe that You will manifest Your glory in our lives.  Lord Jesus, as You performed so many miracles during Your ministry, we rejoice that You said that we would do greater works than You did because You were going to the Father and were sending the Holy Spirit. We confess that we, the body of Christ, will do what Jesus did and we will move to the “greater things.” Lord, just as You turned water into wine, spoke and healed the ruler’s daughter, touched the casket and the dead man rose, called Lazarus from the dead, cast the demons out of Legion and healed the woman with the issue of blood; so we expect to have personal encounters with You in our public and private lives.  In Jesus’ Name,  we command financial increase for our lives.  We command the sick in our congregation to be made whole.  We command the deaf to hear, the mute to speak and the lame to walk.  We decree that Your marvelous works will follow us so that people will come to You confessing Jesus Christ, as their Lord and redeemer.  We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimonies, so Father, we thank You that every member of the body of Christ will have a one on one encounter with You so that they will have a testimony of Your power, authority, love, grace, healing and deliverance.

Father, I thank You for performing the following miracles in my personal life.  List them and begin to praise God:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Holy Spirit, have Your perfect way in our churches during our worship celebrations, children and youth worship celebrations, bible study classes and ministry meetings so that miracles, signs and wonders can flow freely.  Stir up the gift of faith within each pastor, leader, member, ministry volunteer, and visitors throughout the churches to expect great manifestations of Your power, not only during the worship experiences, but every day of their lives.  Lord, allow us to have personal and direct access to Your glory so we will proclaim as the Samaritan woman, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did!” Please use us to perform Your miracles, signs and wonders.  Holy Spirit, empower us so that we are effective witnesses of Jesus Christ.

Father, forgive those people who have doubted Your Word and works, especially our leader(s) in the Gospel.  Forgive those for operating in fear and unbelief. Forgive those who have not taken the time to say “thank you” for the miraculous works You have done in their lives.  Forgive all of us for not comprehending with all the saints the breadth, length, depth, height, and love of Christ which passes all understanding and knowledge.  Father, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed.)  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.

Holy Spirit, help us not to yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You are Holy, Holy, Holy.  You are the God who is, who was, and who is to come.  You are the Almighty.  You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  You are the Eternal King, the Unseen One who will never die; You alone are God.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer for the Economic Crisis in the United States of America

A Prayer for the Economic Crisis in the United States of America

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 84, Deuteronomy 8

Reflections of the Heart:

“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; His ears are open to their cries for help.”  Psalm 34:15

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, You are God and Your Word is true.  We exalt You, our God and King.  We will praise Your Name forever and ever.  Every day we will praise You. You are most worthy of praise.  You are our source, and we place our trust in You.  Holy and Righteous is Your Name.  You are a great God and a great King above other gods.  You are our God; we are Your people who You watch over.  We are the flock under Your care.  Thank You for blessing the United States of America throughout the years.  Thank You, Father, for blessing the economic infrastructure of our nation.  Thank You for surrounding our nation with Your favor, grace and mercy during this time of economic crisis.

In Jesus’ Name, we speak to the United States economy and all interrelated global economies and command “peace, be still” within and among all the economic systems.  We stand in the authority given to us and speak to the economic infrastructure of our nation and we command the United States credit markets to become calm and fluid.  We also command all related financial intermediaries around the world to become calm and fluid.  We command restoration to consumer and investor confidence.  We command the banking industry to stabilize and the enterprise values of U.S. corporations to rebound supernaturally, now!  As a result, we decree that DOW JONES, NASDAQ and the major financial exchange networks around the world will rebound and thrive.  We command a balanced solution to the crisis involving the United States automakers.  We command the housing industry to stabilize and home values to be restored to levels that will reflect God’s biblical promises for this country.  We rebuke the spirits of conspicuous consumption, fear, uncertainty and inefficiency.  In Jesus’ Name, we boldly proclaim foreclosures to cease, job losses to reverse, and the stock market decline to bottom out.  We speak normalcy and balanced prosperity back into our economic system.

Eternal Father, we ask that You would pour out Your wisdom, discernment and divine understanding into Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, Barney Frank of the House Committee on Financial Services and all local, state and national economic and government leaders.  Reveal creative ideas and effective methods to them that will decrease our national deficit while continuing to provide the necessary standards, services and benefits to the American people. Holy Spirit, stir the hearts of the Body of Christ to stand and boldly proclaim Your Word concerning the current global and U.S. economic predicament.  Please restore the confidence of the American people in You, as our source and supply, and remove any thoughts of fear or dismay.

Lord, we repent on behalf of our nation for our many sins.  Forgive us for ageism, sexism, racism and nepotism.  Forgive us for greed, arrogance, selfishness, imperialism and oppression.  Please forgive the financial intermediaries for charging more than they should have charged for packaging and securitizing the mortgages.  Forgive CEO’s for accepting extraordinary compensation while leaving Americans empty-handed.  Forgive consumers who borrowed more money than they could pay back.  Forgive our nation for financial irresponsibility and carelessness.  Holy Spirit, show our leaders who they need to forgive; and help them to forgive.

As a nation, lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, there is none like You.  You are great and Your Name is full of power.  Who would not fear You, O King of the nations?  That title belongs to You, alone!  Among all the wise people of the earth and in all the kingdoms of the world, there is no one like You.  You are the King of glory.  You are the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.  You are worthy, Lord our God, to receive glory, honor and power.  You created all things and they exist because You created what You pleased.

A Year-End Prayer for Educators and Students

A Year-End Prayer for Educators and Students

Scripture Reading:

Isaiah 12, Luke 11:9-13

Scriptural Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Your majestic Name fills the earth!  The heavens proclaim Your glory and the skies display Your craftsmanship.  Day after day they continually speak; night after night they make Your presence known.  Father, Your instructions are perfect, reviving our souls. Your decrees are trustworthy, making the simple wise.  Your commandments are right, bringing joy to the heart.  Your commands are clear, giving insight for living.  Revering You is pure, lasting forever.  Your laws are true; each one is fair.  They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold.   They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the honeycomb.  We thank You, Father, for our educators and students.  Thank You for blessing them to have a successful school year.  Thank You for watching over them and protecting them as they prepare for their summer break.  Lord, we are grateful and we bless Your wonderful Name.

Father, we declare Your Word over our educators and students as they approach the end of another school year.  As the people of God, we are expecting that You will work effectually in them, creating within them the power and desire to complete their courses.  We declare that our students hunger and thirst after righteousness, so they will be filled.  We say that in all of their getting, they get an understanding.  We confess that favor will surround our teachers and students like a shield and that they will have good relationships with their peers and colleagues.  We proclaim favor with college admissions boards, scholarship committees, internship opportunities and summer employment for our students.  Lord, we confess that all of our teachers’ and students’ needs are met according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  Like Jesus, we declare that our students are increasing in wisdom and stature and that they have favor with You and others.  We confess that each student will stay focused as the school year ends.  Lord, we declare that no evil will conquer them, nor will any plague come near their dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over them to protect them in all their ways.

Holy Spirit, show me how I can specifically pray for our educational system so that God will be glorified and more students will graduate:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Father, we ask You place a hedge of protection around our educators and students on each school campus.  Please touch them and cause their hearts to fear You and hate evil, pride, arrogance, and the perverse mouth.  Holy Spirit, please lead and guide them.  Let the mind of Christ be established in them.  Holy Spirit, please give our educators wisdom, strength, and guidance as they organize plans and curriculums for the next school semester.  Father, bless our educators and students during their times of travel, leisure and play.  During the summer, please keep our students from idol minds, unwise decisions, ungodly peer pressure, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse and untimely death.  Holy Spirit, please refresh and renew the hearts and minds of each teacher during this summer.  Father, we ask You to please encircle, instruct, and keep our educators and students as the apple of Your eye.

Father, forgive those who have not been diligent.  Forgive them for getting involved with people and activities that did not represent Your goodness.  Please forgive them for all acts of sinfulness including idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, homosexuality, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness and revelries.  Lord, remind them of those they need to forgive; and help them to forgive.

Lead them not into temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, Your Kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.  Your dominion endures throughout all generations.  Lord, You reign and You are clothed with majesty; You have girded Yourself with strength.  The world is established so that it cannot be moved.  Your throne is established from of old.  You are from everlasting to everlasting.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Summer Prayer for Children and Youth

A Summer Prayer for Children and Youth

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 100, Psalm 127

Reflections of the Heart:

There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven.  Summer is a time for ice cream cones, driveway basketball games, neighborhood swimming, and lazy afternoons.  May the joyous season of summer reflect God’s loving care for our children and youth.  Let us enjoy our times of sun, relaxation and leisure with our friends and family.

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, we bless Your Holy Name.  We come before Your presence with thanksgiving and we shout joyfully to You, the Rock of our salvation.   Lord, You are the great God, and the great King above all gods.  In Your hand are the deep places of the earth; the mightiest mountains are Yours.  The sea is Yours, for You made it, and Your hands formed the dry land.  Lord, You are our God and we are the people of Your pasture and the sheep of Your hand.  Father, we thank You for our children and youth.  We thank You for fulfilling Your plans and purposes through our children and youth during their summer activities.  Thank You for blessing our children and youth with a chance to rest and relax.

We declare that our children and youth dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  As a result, no harm will come near them during the summer.  In accordance to their obedience, we declare that they are blessed in the city and in the country.  They are blessed when they come in, and blessed when they go out.  We confess by faith, that our children and youth are blessed and they will not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stand in the way of the sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful; but they will delight and meditate in Your Word day and night.  We declare that our children and youth will present their bodies as living and holy sacrifices to You, Lord.  We confess that they will not copy the illicit behavior and customs of this world because they are transformed into new people by the way they think.  We confess that every youth who is seeking summer employment will find it because they are surrounded with favor like a shield.  Lord, we confess that our children and youth are taught of You and Your ways so their peace shall be great and their composure undisturbed.

List your specific requests for the children and youth during the summer and take those concerns to the Lord in prayer:

Father, please touch the hearts of our children and youth to fear You and hate evil, pride, arrogance, and a perverse mouth.  Cause them to walk according to the Holy Spirit and not their flesh.  Let the mind of Christ be established in them.  Help them to honor and obey their parents so that things may go well with them and that they will have long life on the earth.  Father, please bless our parents and guardians with the knowledge and skill to structure a lifestyle that will compel our children and youth to honor and obey You as their God.  Please give our parents and guardians the wisdom, strength, and guidance they need to plan, organize, and implement summer activities for their children and youth.  Father, bless our families during the summer break.  Father, bless our families with vacations.  Please protect us during our times of travel, leisure and play.  During the summer, please keep our children and youth protected from idol minds, unwise decisions, ungodly peer pressure, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse and untimely death.  Holy Spirit, help each student to retain the information that they learned throughout the school year.  Father, we ask You to please surround them with Your love, lead and instruct them by Your Holy Spirit, and keep them as the apple of Your eye.

Lord, please forgive our children and youth for disobedience and all acts of sinfulness.  Forgive us for any abuse or neglect of our children and youth.  Forgive us for being so preoccupied with our own needs that we have failed to have structure in our homes for healthy meals and quality family time.  Forgive us for not always supporting our children’s educational needs, training them to have good manners, or teaching them to live a life of truth and integrity.  Lord, remind our children and youth to be forgiving; and help them to forgive.

Lead our children and youth not into temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.

Lord, we praise Your Name.  Your Name alone is exalted.  Your glory is above the earth and the heaven.  You are worthy, Lord, to receive glory, honor and power.  You created all things, by Your will they exist and were created.  You are Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Prayer of Worship

A Prayer of Worship

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 147, Deuteronomy 6:1-9

Reflections of the Heart:

Our God is an awesome God.  He is kind, tenderhearted, and merciful.  Our Father loves us with an everlasting love and He is always concerned about our welfare.  All that we need He provides through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.  God should always be revered and adored.  He should have our utmost respect.  Today, bless the Lord.  Lift up your praises to the One who is the living God; our God who is our Father.

Scriptural Prayer:

Father, we bless Your Holy Name.  We declare Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night.  Lord, You are merciful, gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.  As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is Your mercy toward those who fear You.  Let all the earth fear You, Lord.  Let everyone in the world fear You, and let everyone stand in awe of You.   Lord, You speak and it is done; You command and it stands fast.  Lord, You are our portion and hope.  Thank You, Father, for Your love and compassion.  Thank You for keeping Your covenant with us throughout the ages.  Thank You for making us Your people.  What a joy it is to be one of Your children.  Father, You are good and Your mercy endures forever.

Father, today, we reverence and honor You.  You are our God and we submit our loyalty and adoration to You.   You are the First and the Last.  You existed before time and created everything that exists.  We acknowledge that You are the only living God.  There are no other gods.  Father, You are kind and merciful, slow to anger and filled with unfailing love.  You are good to everyone and You shower compassion on all of Your creation.  All of Your works will thank You, Lord and we, Your faithful followers, bless You.  You are so awesome!  We confess that we will keep Your commandments, walk in Your ways, and revere You.  Father, we confess that Your instructions are perfect, reviving our souls.  Your decrees are trustworthy, making wise the simple. Your commandments are right, bringing joy to our hearts.  Your commands are clear, giving insight for living.  Revering You is pure, lasting forever.  Your laws are true and each one is fair.  Father, Your Word is more desirable than gold, yes, even the finest gold.  Your Word is sweeter than honey dripping from the honeycomb. Your Word warns us and we expect great reward as we adhere to it.  Father, You are great and most worthy of praise.  We will bless You at all times and constantly speak of Your praises.

List three attributes about God’s character that you love:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Father, please let Your ears be attentive to our prayer.  Holy Spirit, teach us how to reverence and adore our Father in true holiness.  Please touch the hearts of those who do not reverence and adore You, and help them to love You with all their hearts, souls, and strength.  Holy Spirit, place in us a hunger and thirst for Your righteousness so that we will be filled.

List three ways you can show appreciation and gratitude to the Lord:

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Father, forgive us for sins of pride, rebellion, disobedience, selfishness, hatred, and idolatry.  Lord, forgive us for half-hearted worship.  Forgive us for disrespecting Your Name and treating You irreverently.   Forgive those of us who are parents for not teaching our children to reverence and adore You.  Lord, remind us of those we need to forgive; and help us to forgive.

Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Lord, You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  You are the God who is, and who always was, and who is still to come – the Almighty One.  All honor and glory belongs to You, God, forever and ever!  You are the eternal King, the unseen One who will never die; You alone are God.  Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
