Sovereign Father, we thank You for the Corinthian Village Independent Living Community. Thank You for providing a safe dwelling place for the seasoned members of our city and congregation. Thank You for blessing us to offer this first-class facility. There is no one like You. We have never even heard of another God like You! Your throne endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. You love justice and hate evil. The life of every living thing and the breath of every human being are in Your hand. True wisdom and power are found in You; counsel and understanding are Yours. You uncover mysteries hidden in darkness and bring light to the deepest gloom.
Gracious Father, we confess that the Corinthian Village Independent Living Community is a homeland for mature adults to live in a secure place where they will never be disturbed. We confess that the residents of this awesome community will continue to flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. Even in their old age they will still produce fruit and will remain vital and green. Father, we confess that this marvelous community will be a peaceful habitation, secure dwelling and quiet resting place for its residents. We confess that every person who moves in will be quiet, diligent, neat, friendly, kind, compassionate, and tender-hearted individuals. We declare that this will be a thriving, active, energetic community. Every employee of this facility operates in the fruit of the Holy Spirit and they are known for their love and compassion. We declare that the Corinthian Village name will be made great in the land and people will come from the four corners of the Houston area to move into this wonderful community.
Holy Spirit, show me what I can do to be a part of this great vision:
Lord, if anyone moves into this community who does not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, please surround them with a cloud of witnesses of Your glory so that they will confess the Lord Jesus and be saved. Encourage the residents to develop close relationships with one another and to look out for each other.
Merciful Father, please forgive those families who have mistreated or ignored their older family members. Forgive the residents for any sins they have committed. Forgive those residents who have not been friendly to their neighbors. Forgive those persons who have spoken against this project. As for me, please forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind the Corinthian Village residents of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help the Corinthian Village residents to not yield to temptation; but deliver them from the evil one.
One true Living God, You are the blessed and only Almighty God. You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. It is You who rides across the ancient heavens. O God, You are awesome in Your sanctuary. You are the God of Israel who gives strength and power to His people. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
